David A. Gallo
Gallo, David A., 66, A resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida for 23 years died on Wednesday March 13, 2013. He was the husband of Cynthia (Ciampanelli) Gallo. Born in Providence a son of the late Silvio and Amelia Gallo, he was a self employed contractor before many years before retiring. Mr. Gallo served as a Sargent in the United States Army Airborne Division and was a former member of the Rhode Island National Guard 115th Military Police Company Pawtucket Rhode Island, which was activated in 1968.
He also served in Vietnam in 1969. He was a member of the DAV and the VFW. He received accommodations and awards while serving his country. Besides his wife, survivors include brother Allen Gallo, sons David Jr. and Kenneth Gallo, daughter Melissa (Gallo) Martz and six grandchildren. A Burial with Military Honors will take place on Monday March 25th at 11:00am in The Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.

Sgt. Gallo was an excellent soldier. We served together in the 115th MP Co. for many years before and after the Viet Nam war. He was highly regarded, professional and it was an honor to have served with David. May God rest his soul.
