Walter "Frank" Saylor
Saylor, Walter “Frank” 83, of 200 Keach Dam Road in Chepachet passed away on August 2, 2017. He was born in Kentucky, and was the son of the late Richard W. and Alice (Van Winkle) Saylor, husband of the late Dorothea A. Saylor and father of the late Rick Saylor. Frank served in the navy in the Korean War and it was this service that brought him to Rhode Island where he met his sweetheart. He was a very hard-working person from his early years as a salesperson to owning his own concrete business to truck driving in his retirement years. You could ask Frank for directions to anywhere in the contiguous United States and he would be able to get you there right down to the exact street. Frank really enjoyed watching his sons play various sports and he was right there to coach every sport. Although he lived in Rhode Island for over 55 years you could still hear his accent. Following a fall, he had a stay at Hattie Ide Chaffee where they were very nice. He recently moved to Winslow Gardens in East Providence where he had the perfect room in the perfect place. The administration and staff were wonderful and treated him with love and respect and for that we will be forever grateful. Frank is survived by his son R. William Saylor and his wife Jean, grandchildren Ross M. Saylor and his wife Linsey, Lauren and Daniel Saylor and a great granddaughter Hazel Saylor.
There will be a private burial at Acotes Hill Cemetery.

He was an amazing man, who always had a story. All though it's sad he is gone, I know he is happy and healthy with his sweetheart. I can just see it now, my dad and him bickering over politics and Dottie shaking her head in disapproval.
