Thomas A. Watts
Thomas A. Watts 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 7th at the West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Warwick after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Anne (McBurnie) Watts and they were married for 51 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John F. and Helen (McGerry) Watts. Tom was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion. As a machinist, he worked for several years at United Products in Providence and then at RI Centerless in Johnston. Tom was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother John Watts of Alamogordo, New Mexico, sister in law Joan Watts, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert D. Watts and Helen Brown. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 8:45am from The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church Cranston at 10:00am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00-7:00pm.
