Swanson, Theresa F. (Mezzancella), 88, of Reed Avenue in Cranston, died on Monday. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Swanson, Sr. and the daughter of the late Raffaele and Concetta (Cipriano) Mezzancella.A life-long resident of Cranston, she worked at Calart Flowers in Cranston for many years and Hope Paper Box before retiring. She is survived by her granddaughters Kristine Swanson of Cranston and Carol Silva and her husband Michael of North Kingstown, her great-grandchildren Rachael and Henry and her sister Elvira Tirocchi of Cranston. She was the mother of the late Paul H. Swanson, Jr. and sister of the late Catherine DiOrio, Mary Liboni, Almerina Parente, Rose Zompa, Joseph Mezzancella and Eleanor Petrillo. She will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00am in St. Matthews Church Cranston. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery Cranston. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00-8:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.
