Arline Cookson

Arline E. (Johnson) Cookson passed away on Friday May 28, 2021 at Countryside Health in Milford, Massachusetts.  She was the wife of the late Clarence B. Cookson.  Born in Warwick, Rhode Island she was the daughter of the late Axel C. and Emmy E. (Ahlstedt) Johnson.  For several years Arline was employed as a secretary at Grinnell Corporation then worked for the City of Cranston in the Tax Collections Department for many years before retiring.  She was a active former member of  The Bethany Lutheran Church in Cranston before joining St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Warwick.  Family was very important to Arline and for her "Nothing in the world was better than spending time and being with them" She is survived by daughters Janice Woodbine and husband Gordon of Milford, Massachusetts, Margaret "Peggy" Plant and husband Kenneth of Leominster, Massachusetts, grandchildren Dianne Bruno (Christopher), David Plant (Lori), Lauren Cortellini (Eddy), great grandchildren Alexander and Jonathan Bruno, Emilia and Madison Cortellini, and sister Ruth Johnson.  She was the sister of the late Axel Johnson.  Funeral service details to which all are invited to attend, are listed below.  In lieu of flowers please make Memorial Donations in Arline's name to the charity of your choice.
