Brad Colvin Obituary

Brad M. Colvin 47, of Cranston died unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on Sunday May 1st. He was a Transportation Specialist with Musco Foods, an occupation he had always longed for and loved. He was an extremely dedicated member of the team and always strived to achieve the highest quality in every endeavor. 

Brad was born on August 19, 1974 to Larry and Janice (Helm) Colvin. He grew up in Silver Lake and lived in Rhode Island his entire life. For the past 14 years he lived in Cranston with his wife Kara and his mother Janice.

Besides his wife and mother he leaves eight siblings: Josie of Cranston, Don of Batavia Ohio, Dennis of Rio Rancho New Mexico, Chris of South Kingstown, Doran of Warwick, Larry of Plainville Connecticut, James of Warwick and Marie of Coventry in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. 

Brad was an accomplished chef and previously worked in numerous local restaurants. He loved collecting sports cards along with figurines from his favorite shows as a child, such as GI Joe and Transformers. He was fan of music, especially heavy metal, and could at most times find him with his headphones on listening to his favorite groups.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.  Visitation will be held for 2 hours prior to the Service beginning at 4:00pm.  In lieu of flowers we request that donations be made to help the family with the cost of the services.
