Carol A. (Sturks) Lanigan 66, of Cranston passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. Carol was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carol worked at Herff Jones for many years, where she was known for her dedication and the friendships she formed with coworkers. Carol will be remembered for her love of family and the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Lanigan Raposa (Justin) and was the proud grandmother to Julia Martinka, Jameson Smith, Mason, Gavin and Damon Raposa who brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her sister Joanne Ronci (Ron) and her brother Arnold Sturks (Linda). Carol shared a special bond with her beloved dog Lulu who was a constant companion. Carol was predeceased by her daughter, Katie Lanigan and her mother Shirley Sturks, whom she carried in her heart always.

Funeral services will be private.
