Chester N. Salisbury Obituary
Chester Norman Salisbury 88, of Mason Avenue a lifelong Cranston resident, passed away at home from natural causes. He was the husband of the late Mary Lou (Keefe) Salisbury.
Born on October 14, 1936 in Providence, he was the son of the late Howard and Agnes (Vasconcellos) Salisbury. He was the longtime community business owner of Time Products Inc. He graduated from Cranston High School in 1954 and received his degree in Agriculture from URI in 1958. He often spoke of his college years at URI and his summer in Oregon with the Forestry Dept. He loved his vegetable garden and shared the fruits of his labor. He was an aficionado of his 1959 Mercedes Benz Sports coupe 190 SL. He enjoyed playing softball and cribbage his younger years and built a home in Jamestown, which was the reality of his dream where he loved watching the boats go by.
He is survived by his son Donald Keefe Salisbury and wife Nancy of Temecula, California, granddaughter Amy Werhane and husband Greg, great grandson of three months Ansel Theodore, daughter Beverly Ann Fisher of Laguna Niguel, California and husband Michael, grandsons Steven, Brian Fisher and wife Amanda, great granddaughters three-year-old Aurora and Audrina who is one and a half. He is also survived by his nephew Neal Ferrera of Massachusetts. He was the father of the late Jennifer Lynn and Peter Michael Salisbury.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday July17, 2025 at 11:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
