Christine Louise (Finlay) Bainton 99, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 19, 2025. Born in Providence, Christine was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Finlay. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 74 years, Donald O. Bainton, with whom she built a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Christine lived independently in Cranston for 76 years, a testament to her remarkable spirit and strength. She found great joy in life's simple pleasures: the rich sweetness of chocolate, the warmth of family gathered around her table for holiday celebrations, and the quiet contentment of time spent with loved ones. Her welcoming home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of freshly baked cookies. Above all, Christine will be remembered for her kind heart, her calming presence, and her enduring wisdom. To all who knew her, she offered a simple but profound reminder that encapsulated her approach to life: "Don’t worry about it."

She leaves behind her loving son Ray C. Bainton and his wife Donna Bainton, along with many beloved relatives who will forever cherish her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Christine's memory by sharing kindness, laughter, and a piece of chocolate with someone you love.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.  

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday June 25, 2025 at 11:00am at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery Johnston.
