Christopher Sinyei Obituary

Christopher L. Sinyei 45, passed away on Saturday August 15, 2020. He was the son of Joanne (Ellison) Sinyei and the late Louis Sinyei. Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister Amy Sinyei Rodrigues and her husband Emanuel B. Rodrigues Jr, who reside in Rumford, RI. Chris was a graduate of Cranston High School West Vocational program. He held an Associate Degree from CCRI and he was very proud to have completed his coursework for his BA in Accounting at Johnson & Wales. He was a familiar face at many area restaurants, having been part of the opening team of Uno’s, Dave & Busters, and Red Robin, and a server/trainer at several others.  He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Celtics, rooting for any team that played against Tom Brady and the Patriots, and especially cheering on his beloved Yankees. He played first base during his days playing CLCF baseball and became a lifelong fan after watching Don Mattingly. Chris also loved road trips, freestyle music, all things Florida, and spending time with his dog Papi.  He will be missed most by those who remember his coy smirk, big personality and fun demeanor. Services will be private. In honor of Chris’ memory, his family has requested that donations be made to Derek Jeter’s Turn2 Foundation given their poignant mission to create and support activities that motivate young people to turn away from drugs and alcohol and "Turn 2" healthy lifestyles.
