Doris Behm

Doris Eva Louise (Richford) Behm of Cranston, sadly passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 97. Born May 1, 1925 in Warwick, Rhode Island, she was the only child of Edmund and Frances "Fannie" Richford. She will be lovingly remembered as the matriarch of her family. On November 7, 1941, Doris married the love of her life, Walter Behm. They worked alongside each other in several business adventures and raised five children together. In her free time, Doris loved crafting and crocheting. In her later years, she discovered the internet and enjoyed playing games on her computer.

Doris is survived by her children Walter (Maureen) Behm Jr. of Longboat Key, Florida, Marilyn (Robert) Pike of Casper, Wyoming, Donna Saccoccia of Cranston, and Ricky (Paula) Behm of St. Johns, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of nearly 77 years, her daughter Cheryl Curt and son-in-law Eric Curt, and her son-in-law Benjamin Saccoccia.

A Memorial Service for Doris will be held at 11:00am on Monday January 16, 2023 in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.  A reception will follow at a to-be-announced location.
