Dorothy Felton

Dorothy “Dottie” (Wood)  Felton 85, of Cranston passed away peacefully on November 17, 2021. Dottie was preceded in death by her husband James and her parents Arthur and Elsie (Dahlin) Wood and is survived by her four children Karen (Ray), Linda (Ray), Kristine and David; grandchildren Christie, Amanda (Ryan), Brian (Andreana), Ashley, Hailey, David and Alexa; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

Born in Providence, Dottie was the only child of Arthur and Elsie. She was an avid reader most of her life, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and a game of cards with her family, but her most beloved pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. She was a former active member of the Supreme Emblem Club of the United States of America and the Ladies Red Hat Society, both associated with her husband’s long-time active involvement in the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.

Dottie will be laid to rest on November 20th during a private family ceremony at the Rhode Island Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery alongside her husband.
