Eleanor V. Jordan

Eleanor V. (Stromberg) Jordan 95, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2022 at the Kent Regency.  She was the beloved wife of the late Lester W. Jordan Sr. to whom she was married for over 67 years upon his passing in 2016.  

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Svea (Svensson) Stromberg.  Elly was proud of her Swedish heritage and enjoyed baking many of the recipes handed down by her ancestors.  A family favorite was her Swedish Coffee Bread.  She loved watching all of the Boston sports teams.  Most of all, she cherished every moment spent with family and friends.  

She was the mother of Lester W. Jordan Jr. (Audrey), grandmother of Jennifer Evangeliste (Jon), Michael Jordan (Lauren), great grandmother of Ava, and Madden Evangeliste, and Eleroe Jordan.  She is also survived by her step grandchildren Derek Hug (Kellie), Adam Hug, step great grandchildren Haley, Emma, and Bella as well as loved cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of the late Melanie J. Jordan and sister of the late Doris Abelson.
