Elida M. Fernandez

Elida M. Fernandez age 74, of Providence, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 13, 2021 at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1946 in the Dominican Republic, daughter of Ana Dolores Fernandez and the late Jose Francisco Fernandez. Elida enjoyed getting together and having fun with family and friends. She loved dancing, eating, traveling and was a hard worker, although retired she always kept busy and enjoyed doing community service with local food drives at churches. Elida is survived by her dog Miley and four children. She was a loving grandmother to her seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. She was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. She led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. We will miss her every day but we will also cherish every moment we shared with her.
