ELLEN A. SALLEY OBITUARY

Ellen Salley of Cranston went to be with her Lord on Friday June 20, 2025 at age 65. Ellen was born to the late Frank and Mildred Chase Coccia of Providence and was also preceded in death by brothers Leo and Frank Coccia.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 47 years, Christopher "Chris" Salley; daughters Heather Carmona and Shayna Salley; grandchildren Nathan "Nate" and Alexander "Alex" Picard, and Eliana Salley; sisters Mildred "Millie" Ritter, Cathleen "Cathy" Coccia, and Veronica Vieira; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ellen loved the Lord and served him faithfully. She was a member of the Johnston Seventh Day Adventist Church and loved leading children’s bible story time. She dedicated her life to her family, and found great joy in nurturing relationships, especially with her grandchildren, and making memories. Ellen had an outgoing personality, loved elephants and penguins, making people laugh, church pot-luck dinners, shopping with family, dancing, playing bingo and watching the surfers in Narragansett with husband Chris. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 26, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston as well as Friday June 27, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Exeter.
