Filomena Walsh Obituary

Filomena Walsh 93, of Sarasota Florida died 11/26/2020, Thanksgiving night surrounded by her only surviving daughter, Linda. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Polselli (1960) and later John Walsh (2008). She was the daughter of the late Maria (1998) and Americo Lupoli (1945). Filomena was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island until she moved to Florida with her daughter close by to be able to meet her needs. Filomena lived well, worked for the State of Rhode Island Division of Taxation until her retirement. She also received a Business degree from
Providence College. She was an avid bridge player where she attained the rank of Master. Filomena loved her family and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter Linda Meacham; grandmother to Rebecca Meacham, Laura Meacham Young (Ryan Young) and Andrew Meacham; great grandmother to Aiden and Larissa Meacham Young. She was predeceased in death by her son Stephen Polselli; grandmother to Benjamin Polselli and Stephanie Morgan (Dustin Morgan); great grandmother to Fiona and Steven Morgan. Additionally, she was predeceased in death by her son David Polselli (2015); grandmother to Karen Soucier (David), great grandmother to Jordan and Desmond. She is remembered around the country to those who knew her. She lived a full 93 years, caring and loving her family. Let us celebrate Filomena’s life as she heads home to her greatest Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
