Frederick J. Ouimette Obituary

Frederick Joseph Ouimette 79, of Warwick passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday January 18, 2025 at Kent County Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alvin and Helen (Morrissey) Ouimette.

Frederick was a laborer in the International Laborers Union Local 271. He retired from the Iron Workers Local 37. Frederick's true passion was being a Chef. He worked at several restaurants throughout the years including Antonio's Trattoria in Cranston and Zelly's in Coventry. Another passion of his was playing golf. He was a Member of St. Mary's Society in Cranston and a graduate of East Providence High School. He was the former husband of Rosemary Maraia of Cranston.

He leaves behind his beloved children Lisa Caetano and her husband Joao, and Alvin Ouimette, grandchildren Allyssa and Anthony Caetano, Austin, Alexis, and Brandon Ouimette, sister Carol Hopkins and godchild Genna Matrullo as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Matthew Ouimette and brother of the late William, Alvin, Gerard, and John Ouimette, Helen Hardy, Annmarie Oatley and Frances Parsons.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Ave Cranston. Burial will be private.
