Gertrude Doweiko Obituary

Gertrude S. Doweiko, a longtime resident of Cranston, died peacefully May 13, 2021 at Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence at the age of 94 after a short illness. Having moved from Old Town, Maine to Rhode Island, she married the late Harry J. Doweiko. She was first and foremost a housewife and homemaker. She helped raise a step-son, James C. Doweiko of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and four more boys; the late Harold E. Doweiko, David Doweiko of Hopkinton, Rhode Island, John P. Doweiko of Needham, Massachusetts, and Donald E. Doweiko of Johnston. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Orono, Maine. Services will be private.
