Harold Wilcox Obituary

Harold W. Wilcox "Harry" 86, of Cranston passed away at Hulitar Hospice surrounded by his loving family on April 5, 2024. He was born at home on February 26, 1938 to the late Byron V. and Alice (Carter) Wilcox. He was the devoted husband to the late Joyce N. Wilcox and loving father to the late Deborah Gingrich of Florida. He is survived by his sons Keith Wilcox Sr (Deborah) and Kirk Wilcox Sr (Kathleen) both of Cranston. He was the brother of Anne Rhodes of Sacramento, California as well as the late Robert Wilcox and Eleanor Bailey. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He was the former Exalted Ruler of the Hawthorne Elks Lodge #2240 in Hawthorne, California serving 1977-1978. He served 11 years in the Air Force after high school until his honorable discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant. After serving his country he had a job in aviation at Rockwell International before moving back to Rhode Island in 1978. He worked for Decorative Services Inc. in Johnston as an Ink Man until his retirement in 1999. Harry along with his wife Joyce enjoyed traveling and had been on many cruises. They were both avid BINGO players attending many local BINGO's as well as playing at Foxwoods for 25 years.

Visitation will be on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 2:00pm- 4:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be private.
