Howard A. Wolfe

Howard Wolfe Obituary

Howard Wolfe, known as "Howie" by those who loved him 66, passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 28th, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Lori. They shared 33 full and wonderful years of marriage together.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harold and Carolyn (Miller) Wolfe. He was the younger brother of the late Michael Wolfe. Howie graduated from Hope High School. He was a skilled craftsman and spent most of his career as a finish carpenter building beautiful home interiors. Most recently he worked in the IT field until his retirement.  Howie was a diehard New England Patriots fan and never missed a game. He loved spending time with his grandsons and had found joy in perfecting his chocolate cake and iced molasses cookie recipes. Howie was a perfectionist to a fault. There are fond memories of him painstakingly wrapping Christmas gifts, ensuring that the pattern on the paper matched up perfectly. He was also a lover a great music and loved to share stories from when he followed the Grateful Dead on tour. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, the best hugs, and his outspoken passion for justice and all things he believed to be right in this world. Besides his loving wife Lori, he is survived by his two adoring daughters Haley Tufts and husband Christopher of Cranston, Jordan Wolfe and  partner Joseph Bernard of Providence, and two beloved grandsons Henry and Russell Tufts of Cranston. He is also survived by his feline best friend Squerk, who was always by his side. He will be deeply missed by many other family members and friends. A Celebration of Howie’s life will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 2:00pm.  Please contact the family for location details.
