Jack Echmalian Obituary
Jack Echmalian passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 in Taunton, Massachusetts at the age of 96. Born on February 16, 1929, the son of Armenian immigrants, Jack lived a life marked by a deep and abiding faith in Christ, a zeal for God’s word, a commitment to hard work, an appreciation of music that he passed on to his children and grandchildren, and an enduring good nature and sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew him.
He grew up in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston, Rhode Island and later made his home in both Somerville, and Holbrook, Massachusetts; Amherst, New York; and Waymart, Pennsylvania. He served at Fort Bragg during the Korean War. He spent 40 years and thousands of miles on the road as a regional sales representative for an iconic money order company and continued working well into his retirement. He was always known for his generosity and dedication.
Jack is survived by his wife, Janet (née Breininger); four children; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday April18, 2025 from 9:00-10:30am in the Grace Bible Church 116 Rolfe Square Cranston. A Funeral service will immediately follow in the church at 10:30am. Burial will be private.
