Obituary

James M. Duffy  62, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 15, 2023 at West Bay Residential where he was a longtime resident. 

Born December 7, 1960 in Cranston to the late Elsie (Flink) and Leo J. Duffy Sr., James is survived by his loving sisters; Leona Duffy, Janice Brown and Helen Solitro, all of Cranston. He was the brother of the late Elizabeth Kent, Frances Berg, Kathleen Velleco and Leo Duffy, Jr. 

Jim grew up in Cranston and graduated from Cranston East High School.  Jim enjoyed sports, was a Special Olympics athlete and loved the New England Patriots.  Jim was well-known for his fun, outgoing personality and humor. Jim volunteered for many years.  He especially enjoyed delivering coffee to the Providence Police Department. 

A Funeral Service for Jim will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at 11:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00am.  Burial will be private.
