Janice Ellen (Fortune) Cockshutt, 75, of Warwick passed away Thursday, February 11th, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of 56 years to Charles A. Cockshutt. Born in Providence on March 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ann (Shields) Fortune. She was the mother of Brenda Florio and her husband Vinny, Brian Cockshutt and his wife Michelle and Barbara Alviti and her husband Ricky. Known to her grandchildren as Grandma Mickey, she leaves behind eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Janice was also the sister of Walter Fortune, the late Ann Ead and her twin sister the late Joyce Clarke. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.  She attended Cranston East and worked many years each at Barker Chadsey, Coronet Thermogravers and Wal-mart where she eventually retired from in 2014. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved her Hallmark movies. She loved to read, collect all things Mickey Mouse and go camping with her family.
