Janice Arlene (Duffy) Brown 75, of Cranston passed away August 13, 2025 at Hope Health Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William I. Brown Sr. Born in Providence on September 12,1949 she was the daughter of the late Leo and Elsie (Flink) Duffy.  Janice resided in Cranston for most of her life.

Janice was the loving mother to William I. Brown Jr (Meredith Bruce) of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, Ann Marie Casimiro of Warwick and the late Steven M. Brown. Janice is also survived by her sisters Leona Duffy, Helen Solitro, great grandchildren Lee and Margaret Bruce as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was the sister of late Frances Berg, Elizabeth Kent, Kathy Velleco, Leo Duffy Jr and James Duffy. 

Janice worked at AAA for 30 years as a Customer Service Supervisor before retiring. Prior to working at AAA Janice worked at TW Rounds (where she met Liberace), Ann & Hope and JCPenney.
Janice enjoyed spending time with her loving family, her cat Lexi and shopping.  In her younger years she enjoyed family board and card games, Atlantic City bus trips, cake decorating, ceramics and making Christmas cookies with her children. Janice attended Central High School.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 20, 2025 from 4:30-6:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.  A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm immediately following the visitation.  Burial will be private.
