Joan Kane-Hersey

Joan Irene Kane-Hersey 71, of Cranston RI, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020.  Joan was born in Providence Rhode Island on December 7, 1948, daughter to the late Joseph P. Conley and Andrea G. (Letourneau) Conley.  A loving and beautiful mother, wife, grandmother and sister, Joan is survived by her spouse, Donald C. Hersey, her daughter Adrienne A. Kane, son Terrence J. Kane and wife Anne Marie and two grandchildren Sarah and Maura. She was the sister of Andrea Pendergast, Cathy Conley, Louise and husband Tom Sanford, Eileen and husband Ron Johnson, Joseph and wife MaryAnn Conley, Bill Conley, John Conley and the late Richard Conley of Florida, her many wonderful nieces and nephews and her two special dogs Bentley and Blue.  Joan was born, raised and lived in Rhode Island her entire life. Throughout the years Joan had worked as a Medical Assistant for Private Practice and loved her job as well as the many adoring patients that loved her too. Joan was a longtime lover of sailing and obtained her sailing certificate which she was very proud of. Joan was a proud grandmother to her two granddaughters, loved traditional holiday's with her family and enjoyed special lunches with her sisters and brothers. Joan loved being anywhere near the ocean, enjoyed her gardening and was an amazing cook.  Funeral services and will be private.
