Joanne F. (Gleason) Condon of Cranston, passed away on May 15, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife for 43 years to William L. "Larry" Condon. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late John F. and Olive (Bullard) Gleason. Joanne graduated from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts and taught elementary school in Grafton, Massachusetts before re-marrying and settling in Cranston where she served her community as a special education aid at Cranston High School East for 20 years. Joanne epitomized unconditional love for her family and friends. She was a loyal, generous, and loving daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, cousin, and friend. A member of the garden club, she was a talented floral arranger and home decorator and an expert shopper who selected and gave the most perfect gifts to her loved ones for every occasion. She was known for her sharp sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was also a faithful viewer of ABC 6 news in Providence, where she never missed a newscast anchored by her son John DeLuca. John was her only child, and she leaves him and his wife Amy of Barrington. She also leaves two grandchildren, Jack and Emily, and two stepchildren, Alicia Condon of Cranston and Andrew Condon of Washington State. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 19th at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church 1525 Cranston Street Cranston. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery in Pawtucket. Visitation is respectfully omitted.
