Joel Russo Obituary

Joel Russo 76 of Cranston, died peacefully at home on January 26, 2023. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Washburn) Russo. Joel was born in Providence, son of the late Anthony and Beatrice (Primiano) Russo and grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island.

In addition to his wife, Joel is survived by his son Matthew S. Floyd and his wife Kerri (Autieri), daughter, Amy E. (Floyd) Ream and her husband Steven Masnyk, daughter Sara J. Russo and her wife Tia Nicole Russo as well as grandchildren Zachary M., Benjamin L., Colby M., and Ryan J. Floyd, Avery E. Ream, Chiara-Araceli B., and Cillian-Cole M. Russo. In addition, Joel leaves his brothers Carl F. Russo (Joanne Lapre), Jere Russo (Meredith), and John A. Russo (Stella). He also leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and his cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday February 3, 2023 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2023 at 10:00am in the Redwood Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery 585 Blackstone Boulevard Providence.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to RIH Orthopaedic Foundation/Terek to help further research of Chondrosarcoma.   C/O RIH Orthopaedic Foundation Inc. PO Box 578 Providence, RI 02901
