John Grant Obituary

John W. Grant 79, of Broad Street Cranston passed away peacefully on Sunday March 21st at Kent County Memorial Hospital after a two month illness.  The husband of the late Jacquelyn (Jones) Grant, he worked for Amtrak until his retirement in 2001.  He was born in Providence on July 1, 1941.  He was the son of late James and Margaret (Quirk) Grant. He is survived by his brother James Grant of Coventry, sister Catherine Ruzzano of Smithfield, stepchildren Daniel Kugler of Warwick, Deborah Rocha of Cranston, seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Charles Grant and  stepfather of the late Kurt Kugler. He enjoyed woodworking, camping,  was a sports enthusiast and an avid photographer. He was also a Boy Scout leader.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday April 2, 2021 at 12:00 noon in Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery 100 Harrison Avenue Warwick.
