John "Jack" Herbert Frost 62, passed away peacefully while in hospice care after battling various illnesses over the past many months. As a young man he served our country as a Navy sailor and was a short order cook for most of his adult life, cooking at The Providence Journal and Harry’s in Warwick. When not working, he liked to play guitar and drums as well as make people laugh. Born in Providence on Christmas Day in 1959 to Gertrude (Cornell) and Stanley Frost, he remained living in Rhode Island for most of his life and was a Cranston resident for many years. Jack leaves behind his close friend and companion for almost 20 years Laurie Plante, sisters Jacqueline Fagnant and Judith Xiarhos, brother David Frost, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded by death by his sister Roberta Ellinwood and brothers Allen Mathias and Joseph Mathias.
Jack will be privately laid to rest at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
