Judith Ann McKenna, 85, of Cranston, RI died peacefully at home on May 23, 2025, after a period of illness, surrounded by her loving family.  Judith leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God and family and a life filled with love, laughter, and lively conversation.  

Judith was born in Woonsocket, RI on October 3, 1939 and held a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island.  A longtime parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church in Cranston, Judith, later in life, became a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, West Warwick.  

Judith is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward J. McKenna, and her parents Harold W. and Mary Jane Speakman.  Judith is survived by her sister and brother, Janet (Speakman) Mattias and David Speakman and his wife Gloria Speakman, her five children, Brian McKenna, Suzanne McKenna and her husband David Pere, Sean McKenna and his wife Kristen McKenna, Edward J McKenna Jr., and Marianne McKay and her husband Kevin McKay, nine grandchildren, Sarah McKenna, Michael McKay, Meagan McKenna, Thomas McKenna, Caitlin Cooney, Jacqueline McKay, Kayla Greene, Cameron McKenna, and Emma McKay and four great grandchildren, Brayden McKay, Anthony McKay, Gia McKay and Harrison Tartagalia. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 29, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 30, 2025 beginning at 8:30am from The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church 854 Providence Street West Warwick at 10:00am.  Burial will be private.
