Judith E. (Feeney) Quinn Obituary
Judith E. (Feeney) Quinn 84, of Cranston, died peacefully on September 19, 2024 surrounded by love with her family beside her. She was the former wife of the late Leonard Siravo and the late John H. Quinn and was a former medical assistant at Coastal Medical of East Providence.
Born at home on Glen Road in Cranston on July 17, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Gilda M. (DiPetrillo) Feeney. After moving to New York in the 1960’s, she came home to Cranston to live and raise her family until her death.
Her childhood was spent growing up on a farm and helping care for the animals. The horses were her favorite. As she grew, she became an accomplished horsewoman and won accolades for showing them. During her high school career at the former Cranston High School she won several awards, including the high medal for Italian and for Math and was a member of the synchronized swim team. After high school, she became a bookkeeper. She remained in that career until her late fifties when she changed careers and became a medical assistant until she retired at the age of 74. Her biggest accomplishment in her life was her family. She raised her two children as a single mother, sometimes working two or three jobs to provide all she could. When the grandchildren were born her sole mission was to be there for them and to guide them, which did every day for the rest of her life. Her family was her pride and joy, and nothing gave her more pleasure than to be with all of them together as much as possible.
She is survived by her son Mark R. Siravo, daughter Anne E. Quinn with whom she lived, grandchildren Christopher D. Quinn, Tori A. (Siravo) Pond and her husband Camden, Alexandra E. Quinn, and Matthew R. Siravo as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her best friend and cousin Virginia (Anderson) Buote. She was the sister of the late Anne E. Gray, Walter G. Feeney Jr., James A. Feeney, Elizabeth G. Thompson and grandmother of the late Mark R. Siravo Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday September 29, 2024 in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service from 11:00am to 12:00 noon.
