Karen L. Gunn (née Breedon) 65, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025 at her home in Cranston. Born on June 17, 1960 in Providence, she spent most of her life in Cranston where she built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Karen was the beloved wife of Russell J. Gunn (who cherished and loved her for over 42 years of marriage) and the devoted mother of RJ and Cory Gunn. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Aiden Gunn, Ava Pestana, Riley, Liam, Eliza, and Clementine Gunn. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and found immense happiness in their presence. She was the loving sister of Debbie Buono, Harold and Patrick Breedon. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Harold Breedon, as well as her brothers Gerald and Kevin Breedon.  She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles whom she loved greatly.

Karen had a deep affection for music throughout her life. She especially enjoyed singing when no one else was around—a private joy that brought her comfort and delight. A lifelong fan of "The Wizard of Oz," she found magic in its timeless story and often returned to it with fondness. Her family remembers her as someone who found beauty in simple pleasures—whether it was watching a favorite TV show or spending time surrounded by those she loved most. Her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025 from 4:00-6:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. All are invited for light refreshments and food following the visitation in son RJ Gunn's home at 75 Rangeley Road Cranston from 6:30-9:00pm.
