Kathleen F. (Gormley) "Kathy" Madrid 57, of Pawtucket passed away on Monday April 20, 2026. Born in Providence on August 20, 1968, she was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth (Jones) Gormley and the late Clement F. Gormley Jr. Her parents always held a strong and dear place in her heart; she often said they were two of her favorite people in the world.
Kathy is survived by her daughters Victoria Madrid and Hannah Coady and son-in-law Ryan Coady. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Wyatt, Wesley, and Ellie - the lights of her life.
She shared many happy years with her loving partner Tom Burns. Through him she formed a special bond with his son TJ and grandchildren Lacey and Jayden.
In addition, Kathy is also survived by her siblings Eileen (William) Naylor, Michael (Sam) Gormley, Thomas (Reba) Gormley, Margaret (Peter) Suter, Clement (Kristen) Gormley, Mary Gormley (John Dietz), Jack Gormley (Mark Van Brocklin), and Maureen (Christopher) Benway. She was an adoring and caring “Auntie Kathy” to many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Known for her infectious laugh and warm heart, Kathy had a vibrant spirit that impacted everyone who knew her. Think of her when you see butterflies, wear the color purple, and are sipping on a perfectly chilled Coca-Cola.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2026 from 4:00-6:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Before her passing Kathy mentioned she would love if those who attended her services wore the color purple. If you are able to attend, please wear purple.
