Katie A. Lanigan 43, of Cranston passed away unexpectedly at home on November 20, 2024. She was the daughter of Charles Lanigan, Carol Lanigan and stepdaughter of Alayne Farrow-Lanigan. She is survived by her children Julia M. Martinka, Jameson C. Smith, sister Lisa Lanigan-Raposa, brother-in-law Justin R. Raposa and nephews Mason L. Gavin L. and Damon L. Raposa. Katie had a big personality and would light up a room when she walked in. She had many friends who have fond memories of their times together and she will be greatly missed by all. She was a talented photographer, an avid reader and loved all animals especially dogs. Katie loved her children more than anything. They were the light of her life and made her whole. Her face would gleam when she spoke of their achievements. To say she was very proud to be their mother is an understatement, they were Kate’s greatest love, and they will be always.

Visiting hours to which all are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday December 3, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.  Funeral Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity
