Kenneth J. Low, Jr., 57, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at Rhode Island Hospital on January 7, 2025 after a long illness.
Kenny was born in Providence, to the late Kenneth J. Low, Sr., and the late Gloria Ebba (Soderberg) Low. He lived in Cranston his whole life where he worked as an assembler at Taco Inc. for several years and enjoyed spending time with family and attending sports events, including local and professional hockey games. He was an avid bowler and spent a lot of time with family and friends at Lang's Bowlarama, Legion Bowl and Cranston Bowl.
He is survived by four children, Samantha Low of Windermere Florida, Kenneth Axel Low of Pawcatuck Connecticut (Aja Rockwell), Mya (Low) Tracy (Ryan Tracy) of Cranston, and Shawn Low of Cranston, three beloved grandsons, Caiden, Elias and Keziah, his sister Dawn Jones-Low of Ferrisburgh Vermont (Thomas Jones-Low), his sister Robin Low of Warwick, several aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.
Kenny graduated Cranston High School East in 1984 and spent his adult life enjoying his children and grandchildren and attending many Providence and Boston Bruins hockey games. He was a member of a Boston Sports and Music Memorabilia Facebook group where he enjoyed meeting other Bruins-Super Fans and obtaining various hockey player autographs and other memorabilia. He shared his sports passion with his late father, and with his sons and grandsons. Kenny also spoke often of his Swedish heritage and reached out to some Bruins players who were from Sweden. He spent some time as a child at Vasa Park in Foster RI with his sisters, parents and grandparents.
