Obituary

Linda Ellen (Cassidy) Bernalewski passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 2, 2023.  Although she was born in Germany on March 14, 1949, to the late Leo and Irma (Scheinost) Cassidy, Linda was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island.  Linda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stanley Bernalewski, as well as son Anthony Dion and wife Rhonda, daughter Melissa Dion, sisters Elizabeth Davis and Karin Barrette, and brother Jim Cassidy.  She was also the grandmother to Jessie Nouman and Amanda Dion.  She was preceded in death by her brother, David Cassidy.

Linda enjoyed her yard and, along with Stanley, planted trees and flower beds, and added decorations, transforming it into a pleasant and peaceful place to relax no matter the time of day.  Her artistic touch was evident in all that she did.  She also enjoyed time with her family, whether it be cookouts or holiday dinners at Anthony’s house, Sunday lunches with Melissa, or panini nights at Elizabeth’s house.

A  Funeral Service will be celebrated with her family and friends in the chapel of Highland Memorial Park Cemetery Johnston on Tuesday on March 7, 2023 at 11:00am.
