Lucille (DiPiro) DeClemente 82, formerly of East Greenwich, passed away at Briarcliffe Manor on July 21, 2022. Lucille was formerly the owner of Ubio Inc., which manufactured Christian Dior and Burberry jewelry for over 35 years in Rhode Island. Lucille was the beloved wife of the late John DeClemente, and the daughter of the late Tom and Etta DiPiro of Cranston.
Mrs. DeClemente leaves behind her brother Damon DiPiro of Johnston, niece Sharon Sammartino of Scottsdale, Arizona, nephews Christopher and David DiPiro of Phoenix, Arizona, great nieces Ashley DiPiro and Samantha Sammartino, great-nephew and godson Alexander Sammartino, great-nephews Darren and Justin DiPiro, great-great niece Bellarose Sammartino and her great-great nephew Gabriel Sammartino.
Included in several features of “Enterprising Women” by Rhode Island Monthly, Mrs. DeClemente was born in Rhode Island and spent her entire professional career in the state creating jobs through her businesses and giving back to her community. Lucille graduated from Salve Regina and prior to her career in jewelry manufacturing she modeled and worked in fashion forecasting for the Cherry & Webb Company. Lucille was a gifted singer and generous entertainer who regularly hosted dinners at Conversations and Antonio’s for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her ukulele playing, her lovely voice, and her eternal generosity toward her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which all are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at 11:30am in the Holy Apostles Catholic Church 800 Pippin Orchard Road Cranston. Burial will be private. Visitation is respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The Humane Society of the US. A special thank you to everyone who touched her incredible life with kindness.
