Margaret Perreault Obituary

Margaret (Martin) Perreault 96, of Warwick died peacefully Thursday December 31, 2020 at the Greenwood Nursing Center.   She was the wife of over 45 years to the late Gerald J. Perreault.  Born in Providence, Margaret was the daughter of the late Margaret Helen and Albert Martin.  A graduate of the St. Francis Xavier Academy in Providence, she was the sister of the late Helen McBurnie, Albert Martin, Mary Proulx, Gertrude Appleton and Dorothea Walsh.  She was the last of the greatest generation of a family that lived up to the superlative.

She is survived by her loving children Stephen Perreault and wife Nancy, Donna Kugler and husband Daniel, James Perreault, and Richard Perreault and wife Debra.    She is also survived by seven grandchildren Stephen Perreault, Catherine Jones, Karen Kugler, Margaret Perreault, Kathryn Perreault, Joseph Perreault, Sarah Simonin, and six great grandchildren.   Known as “Peg” by her friends and “Aunt Peg” by her many nieces and nephews, she was loved by all.  She was an avid reader that enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends at Sparrow Point Apartments and the Pilgrim Senior Center.  Peg remained close with her elementary and high school friends her entire life.

Peg was a humble, kind-hearted woman with a selfless generosity that touched the lives of everyone that knew her.  She will be deeply and dearly missed.   Due to COVID restrictions, there will not be a service at this time. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date.
