Marie Sylvia (Colannino) Conti 88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 7, 2026.
Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Costanzo and Filomena (Russo) Colannino. Marie shared a beautiful and devoted 69-year marriage with her husband, Joseph Conti Jr. She was the cherished mother of her three loving children, Linda Koslowski (Dennis), Joseph Conti III (Shelley), and Cindy Conti-Cook (Frank). Marie was a proud and loving Nana to her four grandchildren, Taylor (Rich), Joelle, Peter, and Joseph, and a devoted great-grandmother to Stella and Luca. Marie was predeceased by her brother Anthony Colannino. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Marie Ferri as well as many sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will remember her with deep love, gratitude, and affection.

A devoted homemaker, Marie took great pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and loving home for family and friends. Her family was truly the center of her world. She found her greatest happiness surrounded by her children, and later, by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie loved cooking her favorite Italian dishes and sharing meals with those she loved most. Christmas Eve was her favorite holiday, and she treasured every opportunity to host family gatherings filled with laughter, traditions, and love. She cherished her weekly routines, especially the time she spent at the Cranston Senior Center. Known for her warm smile, kind heart, and playful sense of humor, Marie always had a sweet joke to share. She also had a fond love for sweets and ice cream, which brought her simple joy throughout the years.

Marie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the joy and comfort she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 14, 2026 at 11:00am in The Butterfield Chapel500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston.  Visitation will be held on Thursday morning prior to the Funeral Service (9:00-11:00am).
