Mary Anne Weber-Dubin 64, of Johnston, passed away unexpectedly on August 8th, 2021. She was born to the late John and Therese Weber on August 10,1956 in Paramus, New Jersey. She graduated from Paramus High School in 1974 and received a BS in Nursing from the William Paterson University of New Jersey in 1978. Mary Anne worked for several years as an Oncology Nurse at Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital where she cared deeply for her patients and provided warming comfort through her gentle disposition. Mary Anne lived the majority of her life in northern New Jersey. In 2018 she moved to Rhode Island to be closer to family. She is survived by her sister Carol, daughter Lisette and her husband Jordan, son Justin and his wife Lexi, nephew Michael, and her granddaughter Violet. Mary Anne loved flowers, music, food, travel, and animals. Her happiest days were spent surrounded by family, celebrating the good weather with a dog by her side. Her life was not always easy, but the hardships she endured did nothing to suppress her radiant smile. Those who knew Mary Anne were privy to a strong, compassionate woman who loved her friends truly and deeply. She loved to garden with her daughter and listen to her son play songs on the guitar. She also enjoyed staying sharp and competitive by playing Scrabble and Bingo with her friends. Mary Anne’s positive energy that she brought to those around her came complete with a brilliant, sometimes unintentional, sense of humor. She was a social butterfly to the very end of her days. The love that Mary Anne possessed for her family and friends was as pure and beautiful as she. Like the sunflowers she so adored, Mary Anne was always able to see the light in the dark, the good in the bad, and hope in face of despair. May she continue to shine bright in her passing. Visitation will be held on Saturday August 14th from 10:00-11:00am in The Butterfield Chapel followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. The family encourages all attendees to bring flowers in celebration of her beautiful and colorful spirit.
