Michael Lambert Obituary

Michael W. Lambert of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2023. He was 80 years old.

Michael was the son of the late Granville W. and Mary E. (Fusco) Lambert. He had two sisters, Mary Ann Craft of Newport and the late Barbara Lambert. Michael is survived by his former spouse Nancy Lambert and their children: Eric Lambert and his wife Samantha of New Bedford,  Catherine Prisk and her husband Barry of Fall River, Matthew Lambert and his wife Melissa of Warwick, Jeffrey Lambert of Portsmouth, Rebecca Gillen and her husband Jerome of Cranston, with whom he was residing with at the time of his death. He was the father of the late Barry Lambert.
In addition, he is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; John, Jaiden, Tyler, Tristen, Victoria, Emily, Kevin, Joshua and Zachary and great grandchildren: Alexis, William, Ryan, Elias, Alani, Sofia, Kaleb and Aldon, along with several nieces and nephews.


Michael was a veteran of the United States Army and was a previously a bass player for the local Newport band, "The Troubadours.” He loved watching sports and old television shows. He was also an avid reader, and he enjoyed yelling at other drivers and pegging the finger for photos. His favorite titles were Uncle Mickey, Dad and Grandpa. Family was everything to him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Visitation will be held for two hours before the service from 5:00-7:00pm.  Burial will be private.
