Michael Metz 42, of Johnston passed away on November 25, 2024.  He was a devoted husband to Jillian Metz and loving father to Hailei Metz 22, and Lily Metz 7. In addition, he is survived by his father Michael and mother Dana Metz both of Warwick, sister Daniella Ciampanelli as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, and a nephew. Michael was also son of the late Theresa Scriber and brother of the late Shane DeSimone. 

Michael loved being around people and was a proud registered nurse.  He was currently working as a hospice RN at Hope Health and took pride in providing comfort for the patients and their families.  He had also previously worked as a RN in the Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Room and was a former cardiac EMT with the North Scituate Fire Department. 

Michael loved being around his family and his daughters meant the world to him.  He was the life of every party. His wonderful sense of humor made everyone want to be around him.  He also had a love for muscle cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston on Wednesday December 4, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm. Burial services will be private.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Project Sweet Peas as Michael was a very proud dad of a very special preemie his daughter Lily.
