Michael F. Johnson

Michael Frank Johnson 73, passed away on Thursday January 13, 2022 at The Miriam Hospital shortly after being admitted. He was the beloved son of the late Lydia Dorio and Ernest Johnson. Growing up in Cranston, he attended St. Matthew School and remained strong in his faith through the years. Michael also attended Cranston High School East and went on to graduate from Roger Williams University. Most of Michael’s professional career centered around the developmentally disabled patients of the State of Rhode Island until his retirement. Michael enjoyed viewing all types of sports games and movies. He enjoyed most of all though, attending popular musical concerts in the manner of having “the choicest tickets” that is, having the best seats at these shows. He also enjoyed sharing stories of these shows with family and friends. He is survived by numerous cousins including Albert (Jo Anne) Sepe of Cranston, Carolyn (Paul) O’Malley of Cranston, and Michael (Tosca) Sepe of Coventry who attentively provided the supportive care for Michael throughout his declining years. A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be held on Saturday January 22nd at 10:00am in Saint Matthew Church 1299 Elmwood Avenue Cranston. Burial will immediately follow at St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. For the health and safety of family and friends visitation is respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Matthew Church Development Fund would be greatly appreciated.
