Patricia A. Davies Obituary

Patricia Ann Davies (93) of Cranston passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. Patricia was born on January 6, 1932 to Fannie and Harry Rogers. She was raised in Cranston by her mother and father, and later by her stepfather, Alfred Hanks. Patricia graduated from Cranston High School.

Patricia’s greatest gift in life was her family. She is predeceased by her sister Arlene Tidd and brother Phillip Rogers. She is survived by her loving husband Stanley Davies, and their children: Robert (Norma) Davies, the late Cherry (Eddy) Onanian, Joanne Davies, Cathy (Tom) Miller, David (Caroline) Davies, and Linda (Mike) Dugan. She was beloved by her 8 grandchildren: Christian (Karen) Davies, Jon (Adrienne) Davies, Bethany (Bill) Robertson, Jamie (Chris) Miller, Allie (Jake) Lewtan, Nathaniel Davies, Alexander Davies, and Joshua Dugan. In addition, Patricia was adored by her 8 great-grandchildren: Lilly, Foster, Charlotte, Benjamin, Clara, Ryan, Eloise, and Maisie. She was dearly loved by her niece Carol (Harold) Winstanley, her nephew Jim (Mary) Roberts, and her great nieces and nephews, Kevin (Phyllis) Winstanley, Gail Cole, and Linda (Steve) and Amanda Parker.

Pat and Stan were just weeks away from celebrating 74 years of marriage on July 4th. They adored each other, rarely spending time apart and setting a lasting example of love, partnership, and devotion. They instilled in each of us the importance of family, hard work, and doing the right thing.

Patricia was a lifelong member of Phillips Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering for the church and the food pantry. Pat and Stan led a very active lifestyle with their friends, out and about for dinners, coffee, and vacations until their late 80s. Pat enjoyed gardening, collecting windchimes which she hung throughout her garden, and completing word searches. She also loved bowling and ceramics with friends and family, playing solitaire, and teaching her family the many other card games she loved to play. She loved to shop and find the best deals, always sharing the mantra, “let’s see what they've got for nothing.” Pat was infamously always fabulously dressed, with her hair, makeup, and outfit beautifully coordinated.

Patricia devoted her life to her family, raising her children, taking an active role in raising her grandchildren, and spending quality time with each of her great-grandchildren. She had a special relationship with each member of the family, offering joy in good times and comfort in hard times. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be missed more than words can express.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations may be made to Phillips Memorial Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 25, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 26, 2025 at 11:00am in Phillips Memorial Baptist Church 565 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will be private.
