Patricia E. Gifford

Patricia Elaine Gifford, formerly of Arlington Virginia passed on Monday January 1, 2024 at the age of 83. Born in Hope, Rhode Island on September 24, 1940 she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Evelyn Victoria (Loven) Gifford. Patricia was the sister of the late Phyllis D’Amico, her husband Salvatore, Merideth Gifford Vermann and her husband Peter of New York City and Faith Gifford of Cranston.  Patricia paved an impressive path as she initially moved to New York City in her early years and eventually settled in Arlington, Virginia. She built an impressively tenured professional career which included CBS and Xerox Corp. before retiring in 2006.

Patricia was fiercely independent and was rightfully proud of her life accomplishments. She held her many longstanding friendships close to heart and held love for the many people who filled her life with purpose and meaning. Patricia’s wit, can-do attitude, fun spirit, tenacity, and countless adoring attributes will be remembered with love and affection. She will also be missed by her nephew and nieces, John and Tammy D’Amico of Rhode Island and Melanie and William Fiore of Florida, who hold adoring memories of “Aunt Pat” with fondness and affection. Patricia loved her great-nieces and great-nephews dearly and she will be missed.

A private celebration of life will be held by the immediate family.
