Paul Gingras Obituary

Paul A. Gingras 70, of West Shore Road Warwick passed away unexpectedly Monday at home after a hard-fought battle with heart disease. He was the son of the late Gilles C. and Pauline H. (Heroux) Gingras. He is survived by his loving son Ryan Paul Gingras of Pawtucket and sisters Nicole B. Kessler of Arizona, Louise G. Liddle and husband Fred of Warwick and Constance J. Monaghan of Pawtucket. He was also the brother of the late Michele Pate. He was the proud uncle of six nieces and nephews and seven greats. He joins in eternal life his late former wife Lynn M. (Lugiski) Gingras

Paul worked his entire career wearing many hats in the funeral industry under the tutelage of his uncle Gerard Heroux in the family business at the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son. He ended his long-standing career as President of the corporation after over 45 years of dedicated service. Paul had a great respect for death and bereavement which showed through the calm, caring, and compassionate manner in which he served his clients.

Paul was an avid golfer and die-hard fan of the Boston Red Sox. He also stood firm in the face of overwhelming adversity through his resolute and unwavering support of the Dallas Cowboys. He was an active member of St. John Paul II Parish in Pawtucket.

Paul was a faithful friend to many including his golfing buddies, the gang at Chelo’s of Silver Spring Street, the Honey Dew Crew, as well as all of his funeral industry friends and associates. He was a man who could make friends anywhere he went. Most of all, Paul was loving and faithful to his family, being a devoted father to his son Ryan and to all his chosen sons and daughters whom he supported and mentored over the years with his fatherly advice. We will miss him dearly.
