Pauline A. Charleson, 90 of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2024. Pauline retired 10 years ago as an Administrative Assistant with Arnold Lumber Company.
Pauline was the former wife of the late Frederic Charleson. Born May 20th, 1934 in Providence, Rhode Island to Karl & Helen (Johnson) Erickson, Pauline resided in Cranston until the mid-1980’s then moved to Warwick.
Pauline is survived by her four children, David and his wife Phuong Pham, Paula, Bruce and his wife Kristen and Mark and his wife Darcy. She was also the very proud “Gram” to her seven grandchildren Ashley, Stephanie, Ryan and his fiancée Marta, Vannevar, Christian and his wife Allie, Spencer and Ameila. She was sister to three brothers, C. Richard, Harold and John Bernard Erickson who had all predeceased her and was Aunt Pauline to eight nephews and five nieces.
Pauline was a caring and very loving mom who made sure that all felt welcome in her home. She was the “Social Butterfly” at Twin Oaks in the 1970’s and 1980’s, along with her dear friend John Colon and other close friends. Her social butterfly status continued on in her careers in sales and later on with her many beloved friends at Arnold Lumber Company. Pauline was an avid gardener and loved art and photography. She was a loyal New England Patriots fan since the 1970’s. More recently she made many new friends at the Tamarisk Assisted-Living facility. But her greatest love was her grandchildren, of whom she could not have been more proud. Pauline was also quite proud of her Swedish heritage and often jokingly proclaimed that her family were all descendants of Leif Erikson. Gram never let facts get in the way of a good story. Her love and laughter will be missed by all.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024 at 10:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 9:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Tomorrow Fund. http://www.tomorrowfund.org
