Rita “Irene” Scripsack 85, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 21, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital in the company of her beloved family at her bedside. Irene was an extremely dedicated and happy employee of the North Smithfield School Department, where she worked for many years as the Business Manager up until her retirement at 73 years old. Irene enjoyed travel in her younger years and loved a good cocktail, a cold beer and a yummy meal up until the time of her passing. She had a strong faith, believing strongly in God, and she had a full personality, which anyone who knows her can fondly attest.

Irene is survived by three children; Laurie, Holly, and Robert “Bob” Scripsack, and is now at peace with her late children Teddy and John Scripsack.  She was "Memere" to five grandchildren Danielle Casey, Thomas “TJ” Potenza, Jaquan, Stan, and Valen Scripsack, and "Grand-Memere" to two great-grandchildren Patrick and Madison Casey. She cherished them all immensely.
