Robert E. Carter

Robert E. Carter 80, a lifelong resident of Warwick, Rhode Island passed away at Kent County Hospital on February 9, 2022 after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Roland W. and Dorothy (Geisser) Carter formerly of Warwick, his wife Nancy M. (Scoullar) Carter and their daughter Susan E. Carter. He was an accountant at AMICA insurance for 37 years before his retirement in 1999. 

Robert leaves behind his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann Carter, two sons; James R. Carter of Hilo, Hawaii and Matthew R. Carter of Warwick, two stepsons; Scott Richardson of Blackstone, Massachusetts, Matthew Richardson of Warwick and seven grandchildren.

Robert enjoyed fishing in the upper Narragansett Bay and spending time with his grandchildren. He also volunteered his time to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and the Amos House in Providence. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his wife. He was a supporter of both the McAuley Ministries and the Amos House in Providence. To honor his memory, donations can be made to either of those organizations.
