Obituary

Sallymae (Canavey) Shaw 74, died peacefully on April 27, 2022. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Boyer) Canavey.  Sally grew up in Cranston and spent most of her working years as an Office Manager at Program Brokerage Corporation before moving to The Villages, FL and spending her retirement years living her best life alongside her loving husband Bruce. Graceful and proud, Sally was a source of inspiration and strength to all her family and friends.  Sally was predeceased by her devoted husband of 53 years, Bruce Shaw and is survived by her two sons: Robert Shaw of West Warwick, Thomas Shaw and wife Dina of Harrisville, as well as grandchildren Abigail, Hannah, Kelsey, Ryan Shaw and Liam Martin and niece Ronna Deschane. 

Visitation will be held on Monday May 2, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. The committal service will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 11:00am in The Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
